    David Hockney has unveiled a collection of vibrant artworks created during isolation at his Normandy home in which he captures the ankomst of spring in all its glory as he tries to offer people 'a respite from the news'.

    The 82-year-old painter, often dubbed Britain's greatest living artist, has released ten new images created on his iPad, nine of which have never been published before.

    Hockney described the artworks as a 'great respite' from the ongoing crisis and revealed why he plans to keep painting every day from his home in northern France with his dog, Ruby, at his side.
