    In a review of traumatic memories, Brewin (2007) proposed that the controversies relating to this type of memories could be summarized into four main contentious issues. First, whether these memories are different from other types of autobiographical memories. Second, whether traumatic memories are more or less accurate from memories for non-traumatic events.
