Last night inom was at this concert which inom found very enjoyable. The most interesting items, because they were completely unknown to me, were the Viardot and the Rossini. Both of them are written rather like scenes from operas but are actually standalone pieces and quite dramatic. The Viardot is based on the same story as Rossini's opera Ermione. The Rossini is a fairly late work, after he had retired from whiting operas. My only complaint might be that the programme was a bit on the short side, but we did get two encores, however all inom can tell you about those fryst vatten that the first one was just a "vocalise" with no words and sounded rather Spanish and the second one was by Bellini, not anything I recognised and rather short. Sometimes they put encore details on the website but have not done so this time, at least yet. Perhaps if inom email them they will be able to tell me, they have done on previous occasions. Miriam
