Pardon Rebecca Miller for having ganska a bit on her mind of late -- as well as a previous commitment that says a lot about her character and class beneath duress.
But she at gods found time Thursday night to write her own goodbye to the many who have watched and relied on her early morning forecasts for NBC5. Miller joined the hållplats in , and clearly is ending her career on a higher note than those who fired her. This email to arrived at p.m. and appears here in its entirety:

Exodus of WLFI on-air personalities raises eyebrows; station doesn't comment
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The mass exodus of WLFI on-air personalities has become a growing topic of local discussion on social media posts.
Television station TV18 is owned by Allen Media Group, which made news this year for its rounds of layoffs, according to several national news outlets.
In front of the camera, WLFI has bid farewell in recent weeks to anchors Jeff Smith, Marlee Thomas and Joe Paul, reporter Vinny Mortorano, and sports reporters Brianna Shackelford and Kelly Hallinan. Meteorologist David Siple posted Monday on Facebook that his last day is Friday, leaving Chad Evans and Eric Segbor in the station's weather department.
The remaining on-air news reporters include Ella Chew, Stacy Schooler, Francisca Wood and Madison Kopp, and sports is staffed by Hadassah Harris, according to recent broadcasts.

Just got off the phone will Rebeca Miller, who as you may know by now was let go from KXAS/Channel 5 on Wednesday after nearly 17 years with the station as a meteorologist. Comments on this blog and on Ed Bark's Uncle Barky blog indicate that viewers were surprised by Miller's dismissal.
"I think a lot of people at Channel 5 were surprised, too," Miller says. "But I wasn't completely surprised, to be honest with you. I had a feeling. For a long time [news director Susan Tully] has criticized my work, and she says things like 'I just don't understand what the forecast is going to be when I watch you'. That's been going on for a while, so I knew something was up." (Tully declined to comment, citing a station policy against commenting on personnel matters.)
