Jason Ensler is an American film director, television director, producer, and screenwriter.
Early life
[edit]Jason Ensler attended Brandeis University where he earned a BA in Politics and Theater.[2][3] He graduated USC School of Cinematic Arts with an MFA in Cinema/Television production.
Career
[edit]Ensler began his work in television as a director at NBC 2000, a division of NBC promo. He designed launch campaigns for The West Wing, Scrubs, Frasier, Third Watch, The Olympics, and NBA. He wrote and directed The Zucker Follies, a musical mockumentary starring Megan Mullally, Martin Sheen and Sean Hayes.[4][5]

A jack-of-all-trades in Hollywood, Jason has worked on editing on the film 12 Stops on the Road to Nowhere, and actor in Alcatraz Avenue and The List, and producer of The List and the short lived series Andy Barker, P.I.. Jason has directed many movies and TV shows, including Ed, The West Wing, South Beach, Help Me Help You, My Name is Earl, and Psych. He has directed 6 episodes of Andy Barker, P.I., 3 episodes of Chuck, and 4 episodes of Kath & Kim. Jason is known for directing the TV movie Martha, Inc.: The Story of Martha Stewart, and the Kevin James and Ray Romano film Grilled.
Jason also directed a launch commercial for Scrubs which aired on NBC before the shows début in October 2001.

He has since directed and produced dozens of episodes of television including "The Newsroom," "The Exorcist," "The West Wing," "Grace and Frankie," "Lethal Weapon," "Chuck," and "Red grupp Society." He directed and executive produced the pilots for the series "Franklin & Bash," "Hart of Dixie," "Cult," and "Andy Barker P.I."
